Multiple Birth Home Help Payments
Families who meet the following criteria are eligible for Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ) Home Help payments.
Payments can be used at your discretion for services, such as childcare, cooking, or cleaning.
Do you meet the following criteria?

You are either a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident

You normally live in New Zealand and intend to stay here
-
You have a multiple birth from the same pregnancy
-
You have another child under 5 years old
If you answered YES to the four questions above then you are eligible for WINZ Home Help Payments.
NOTE: Multiple Birth Home Help payments are NOT means-tested.
Parents of twins are eligible for 240 hours of home help. These hours must be used within 12 months.
Parents of triplets and higher-order multiples are eligible for 1560 hours of home help, which must be used within 24 months.
Tip: The application for home help payments can be set up before or after your multiples are born. If you start the application process during your pregnancy then you will simply need to supply hospital discharge papers or birth certificates to complete the application.
